<Agree Side>

Heather : I agree with this topic. I have two reasons.

It is because that this project expands students' work options.

It is because that students can image to work by joining this project.

John : I agree with the idea. I'm a dentist and I want students to join my work.

Vinnie :I also agree with this project because it can make students image the

           feedback and new perspective.

Bella : I almost agree with this topic. It is advantage for students, but I don't know

          the merit of receiving side.

<Disagree Side>

Anne : I disagree with this idea. I'm worrying that some accidents may happen by

students. Students may interfere with our work.

Bella : What is the merit of receiving side ?

→ Heather : They can help students to grow up.

Vinnie : How about put a limit to join on students ?

 → Anne : That's good idea.

→ John : I have a suggestion. Raise your hands, if you can receive students at

your office or your store ?

Some people raised their hands. Cinema, Office of cinematographer, Dental clinic, Electrical mechanic store, Hotel, Buyer, Toilet cleaner, Announcer, Car designer, Pastry chef.

Anne : When and How long is this project held ?

→ Vinnie : It's held on July and for 3 days.

Heather : How to students go to their work places ?

→ John : They can go there by bus.

Bella : How students decide which work place they go to ?

→ John : Their teachers explain about that.

Bella : How much money students have to pay to join this project ?

→ Heather : They don't have to pay money expect the fare of bus.

➡ Anne and Bella changed their position to agree side by this discussion.

Questions and Answers

What do you students to do at your dental clinic, John ? They don’t have a license and they cannot do some professional things.

→ They can clean the consultant room. They can see which procedure to use and which tool to use.

What kinds of students join this program ?

→ All grades are Okay.

Why do you especially recommend this to second grade students ?

→ First year students are too young to join this, and Third year students are busy to study for test of entering to high school.

Is this duty ?

→ Yes.

How many second year students are there in Apollon ?

→ 120 people. There are 4 schools in Apollon and there are 30 second year students in each school.

There are 150,000 people in Apollon, but are there only 120 second year students ?

→ Oh, I forgot “0”. The correct number is 1200 students. I’m not good at math.

Isn't this project difficult because there are too many students?

→ Ultimately we want to be able to hold this project around each school.  However, this project is still in the planning stage.

I also want to participate in this project as a receiving side. So give me time to talk to the boss.  When is the application deadline?

→ It's up to 3 months before the project.

I understand the mental benefits of this project, but it doesn't generate a salary.  What are the benefits for the receiving side?

→ If this project can be useful for the students, it will improve the image of the company, right?

Would you like to use the first day of the three days as online guidance? That way, many students can attend the briefing session.

→ Online guidance sounds good, but it is not easy for professions to explain it online.

What should students who don’t want to join this project do?

→ They have to do this project. Doing what they don't want to do is very important to them in the process of growth.

High school students have to go to internship. Does this project need for junior high school students? Junior high school students should not work.

→ Okay because it doesn't generate money. It doesn’t say “work”, it’s  “learn”.

Result

They can reach the consensus.

My opinion

This project is a great opportunity for junior high school students to expand their options for the future. The discussion members were also pondering the details and it was very easy for us, the audience to agree. But I have a few doubts. Who will take responsibility if a student playfully causes an accident?  Is it a teacher? I couldn't ask a question because we didn't have time.  According to John, this project is still under planning, so I hope it will come true.
