 Agree side
Emma : Students living in the dormitory do not use buses because they walk to school.  Therefore, they can cope with the environment because the traffic volume is reduced and the exhaust gas is also reduced.
Lily : If we build a dormitory for international students, Apollo's tourism industry will improve and the economy will improve because they will go sightseeing.
Marie : Living with students’ friends allows them to study hard on their academic abilities. They can spend healthy life style and also acquire their vitality.
Rose : Students who live from far away can go to school easily.

Disagree side
Blood : They have no freedom by living dormitory.

My opinion

My opinion is that students who want to live in a dormitory can live there.  By living there, they can live without breaking their lifestyle.  Dormitories will also be built for international students.  I was the moderator for this discussion, but I regret not being able to put everyone's opinions together.

  1. The problem is that you didn't accurately summarize the audience's views. It can be misleading when the audience records the question. If you're not sure if you've got the exact meaning, you should check with the questioner before speaking in the microphone. That way, you'll be able to have a smoother discussion! On top of that, you were in the most difficult position as a moderator, but thank you for your hard work!

  2. In the discussion, I thought that you should have asked the discussion members more specific ideas. It can be a problem because the audience can't understand discussion members' ideas deeply. However, I felt that you were working hard as a moderator!!

  3. I felt you relied on your script too much. It gave me an impression that you didn't join the discussion lively and also caused your silence. Preparing many things for the discussion is really important of course, but it may be more helpful for you to remember the key words and listen to your panel mates' opinions carefully. If you do so, you will be able to understand their statement more easily, and the audience can also do it by your summarizations. Anyway, thank you for your hard work!

  4. I thought that your conclusions of the discussion members middle of discussion were difficult to hear because your voice was little quiet. It is a problem because audience can’t understand what you want to say, so you should have a confidence speaking English more in the discussion. If you do this, audience can understand what you said. I am looking forward to your next discussion!

  5. As a moderator, you should be more confident without relying on notes. It gives us a bit negative impression. When paraphrasing the opinions of discussion members, do not to say in difficult words, it's okey just use simple words. That will make it easier for us to understand your opinion and you can feel at ease. But congratulations on the consensus!

  6. You without taking notes during discussion, as if you were reading from some kind of script. By preparing a few key phrase and taking notes, you will feel more confident in what you are saying. I thought it was more sincere for the audience to speak in your own words, even if it was a little wrong.

  7. I think you prepared the script for this discussion too much. By your too much preparation, what you said was not like your thought from your feeling. So, I think making only what you want to say concrete will make your moderator job more natural. Anyway, you did a great job as a moderator!

  8. I found it hard to hear your voice because you took a few poses and your voice was quiet. Probably because you were reading some script you prepared. I think the discussion will be smoother if you use your simpler words without a script.

  9. At the end of the discussion, you were answering Robert's questions with stumping for words. Even though the moderator would like to speak, I thought it should that comments were based on the opinions of the members who were presenting.

  10. I thought your paraphrase of the speaker's opinion was hard to hear. Since paraphrasing is important for easy understanding by the audience, I thought the discussion would go more smoothly if you used easy words to explain.

  11. You seem to rely too much on notes. It seemed to the audience that you were just monotonously proceed the discussion. If you ever be the moderator again, I recommended that you prepare not a perfect script but words that might be related to the topic, and then proceed with the discussion in your own words. Then you can have a more lively discussion.

  12. You could pay attention to the time, but you seemed to rely on script and you didn’t express by your own words, so you should concentrate on other member’s opinion.

  13. Your English is very clear and easy to hear, so I felt that you didn't need to prepare the script a lot for discussion. Because of this, you were too focused on reading the script and became monotonous. To improve this, I think it is effective to keep the draft to the minimum information. By doing so, you can convey more accurate information to your audience.

  14. Silence stood out in the discussion. This confuses the audience about what to do to wait for resume of the discussion. So, while the other members are thinking about some answers, if you talk to the audience or organize the discussion, the awkward silence will be reduced.

  15. I thought you summarized members' opinions for more short. Even if the members had said thoughts deeply and gave us a lot of information, you had tended to summarize very short, so I know it is hard, but you should summarize faithfully.

  16. You tried to do your best as a moderator on the class. I think it is difficult to fit to be a moderator, but you should have said your opinion clearly and summarize the opinions correctly.
